The 500 handheld breath alcohol tester is a versatile breath alcohol screener. Its lightweight and rugged design makes it the perfect instrument whenever a quantitative result is necessary. The 500 can used in many situations, including: Preliminary law enforcement “Driving Under the Influence” screening.

Screening tests for Department of Transportation mandated “safety sensitive” employee testing (the 500 appears on the NHTSA Conforming Products List). Employee alcohol testing as part of a comprehensive company safety program.

The Intoxilyzer 500 is a basic handheld screener that can be used for law enforcement or workplace testing. It uses an electrochemical fuel cell to gauge alcohol concentration. The Intoxilyzer 500 is backed by CMI's factory service and support.

• BrAC Test
• The Breath Alcohol Testing Mode (BrAC TEST) is the most common mode use of the Intoxilyzer 500 when performing a field sobriety test. The Intoxilyzer 500 will always start up in the Breath Alcohol Testing Mode (BrAC TEST).
• Zero Tolerance
• The Zero Tolerance test can be performed using the reusable sampling cup the purchase of the Intoxilyzer® 500. In this mode test can be run quickly- a very useful tool when testing a large group in a zero tolerance environment
• Last Test Recall
• The easy step through menu of the Intoxilyzer 500 provides quick access to the last test result.
• System Menu
• Access to tasks that are not performed on a daily basis can be quickly accessed in the system menu.

SPECIFICITY: Fuel cell sensor is unaffected by acetone, paint and glue fumes, foods, confections, methane, and practically any other substance found in the human breath. SAMPLING: Automatic after the subject provides 1.5 liters of breath. A manual sampling feature is also provided.
